These little mills work great but need a bit of work to make the work perfectly. To get the most out of them, you need to remove the drive shaft and slide a piece of 1/2" IDx 3/4" OD tubing over the existing tubing. This will give you the optimal rotational speed per Sponenburgh's book. All you need do then is add some media and this is one of the best starter ball mills available. Perfect for a beginner and for the advanced pyro, it is great for smaller batches and single chemical runs. Remember, you have to use separate mill jars and media for compositions, oxidizers & fuels so plan of seeking a few extra jars for this thing too.
